Present Day Story
19-year old Lillian is more worldly than the average 19-year old. Moving out at 16 due to instability at home, Lillian has been taking care of herself longer than most teenagers. Although she may appear to have found a way to meet most of her needs, Lillian has been struggling with her past, using weed as a way to cope with the emotional turmoil. Just last month Lillian graduated high school and even though she took a year longer than her peers, she is proud of her accomplishment.
Lillian has been making ends meet through working at a clothing store and living with four roommates. She isn’t particularly passionate about her job. She never goes above and beyond but still shows up because she’s anxious about her financial position. She struggles with keeping her spending in control and has a habit of borrowing money from her dad which is continuing to strain their weak relationship.
“Despite others constantly trying to knock me down, I’m where I am today because I put in the hard work”
Lillian has no plans to continue her education and is instead partying frequently. She is constantly surrounded by her roommates but deep down Lillian doesn’t trust them. Lillian’s history with people breaking commitments has led her to lean into relationships with selfish intentions. She often comes across as combative and judgemental, blaming others for the position she is in. Lillian’s dreams for the future don’t span much beyond the following month.
