Present Day Story
Warren is a 58-year-old who prides himself with finding ways to get things done. A divorced father of a 14-year-old daughter, Warren has been the primary caregiver for Lucy most of her life. Although he’s closed off emotionally, he thinks he copes well enough with life’s stresses and feels like as long as Lucy has a roof over her head she is taken care of.
Although Warren graduated with a diploma in project management, sitting at a desk all day was never his true passion. Instead, he followed his love of physical activity and became a certified personal trainer. Warren has struggled to build up his client-base (much like he’s struggled to maintain his social network) polarizing many with his active online political commentary. He does have a few strong relationships with friends, but hasn’t had any meaningful romantic relationships since Lucy’s mom, leaving him occasionally feeling lonely.
“My daughter and personal training is all I need to be happy. Anything outside of that is to just get our needs met”
Due to the struggles with growing his client base, Warren keeps close control over his finances and has a second job as a school bus driver. Although he isn’t passionate about it, being a bus driver provides a significant contribution towards making sure Lucy is taken care of.
